Thanks for traveling with me! I call this Blog "The Journey"
because life is truly a "trip". With all the emotional destinations
we travel to (some with frequent flyer miles), we should
sometimes take the time to sit back and enjoy the ride

Is It Really That Serious?

Do you remember the episodes of In Living Color when Damon Wayans portrays an inmate who uses the wrong vocabulary to speak his profound messages?  For example, he says, "I'll teach you to testiculate my way...to computate how it works, I will intersex with a preverted deviant by using one of my own penal implants."

Now, only he understands what the hell he's talking about...well maybe he and a few others that can use context clues.  I've always thought to myself that there is no way that he thinks he makes since.  Don't get me wrong, I have butchered the English language many times...but for the most part, I can identify my mistakes once I've made them.

However, I know an individual who does not realize how much he/she butchers vocabulary.  When you speak to this person you almost think you may need a lawyer to make sure you haven't agreed to something against your will: "May I have your commitment to donation of said funds to replenish deemed appliance?  The microwave has failed to function it's micro wave element."  I am paraphrasing of course because my mind does not have the patience to remember such things...but I am not paraphrasing by much.  In that one statement he/she was only asking for a donation.  I mean, how confusing can you be?  And what the heck is the "micro wave" (space intended) element...is this the scientific definition of how a microwave functions?

On this trip, I would like you all to keep things simple.  Life is already full of enough complexities to juice your brain; do not let over-stupidity add complications.
